Welcome to Windhorses, a full service boarding and riding facility located on Patterson Creek Farm — 60 beautiful acres in Fall City Washington. Nestled near the foothills of the Cascades with incredible mountain views and green pastures, we proudly offer a top-notch facility for boarding and riding. The farm boasts riding trails, two arenas (indoor and outdoor), and two beautiful barns. We also offer turnout in large, grass pasture averaging  over 2 acres in size: Our turnout, green pastures and pastoral setting differentiates us from other barns. The above photo was taken over 12 years ago when we started our riding program. Most of these horses are now retired and our current horses are a higher grade. Yet this photo captures the willingness of all our horses, past and present, to partner with you, the rider, and us, the trainers. We love them all!!!

We are currently taking registrations for our Summer Camp, for ages 6-60. (Click here for Summer Session dates) -

Horses Thrive at Windhorses

Horses thrive at Windhorses with two feedings per day, and a unique abundance of natural turnout: 12-hour turnout, seven days a week, in large 2+ acreage pasture. This natural environment reduces the horse’s stress, restores herd spirit, and gives the horse freedom to roam, graze and be in harmony with other horses while under professional care and oversight. Turnout can be tailored to your specific needs if you prefer individual turnout.  Learn more about our top-notch boarding options.

Current Lesson Offerings

We approach beginning and intermediate riding a bit differently than other barns: We emphasize a full, integrated approach to riding that is tailored to the specific needs of the rider. Our 60-minute group lessons) include lunge lessons, unmounted work, tacking and untacking and riding.  We work towards developing equestrians who know how to care for their mounts, assume leadership and responsibility for themselves and their horses, and grow in confidence and mastery of art of riding. Most importantly, we like to have fun and joy and incorporate games and humor into all lessons. Learn More…
